Halloween Ghoul Gambler Theme

People usually don’t think of Las Vegas when asked about Halloween. But seriously, would you really pick one over the other? Why not bring them together in a hilarious night of Halloween revelry Vegas style. Think of a casino plucked straight from purgatory, where the high roller gamblers were having so much fun they forgot they were dead.

Give out personalized poker chips inscribed with the party details, when where and what exactly. You can buy blank poker chips at novelty stores, choose red or blue chips and with a black permanent fine-tipped marker, fill in the blanks as you wish. Make sure you let them air dry completely before stacking them or handling them in any way. This is to make sure the details won’t get smudged and rendered unreadable.

Pre-printed casino party invitations is always a safe bet that your guests will feel like winners just for being invited so go ahead and indulge. Don’t forget to remind them that since this is a Halloween party, they should come as the best dressed ghoul or zombie for the evening. Like James Bond, after he bites the bullet.

Put up cardboard Vegas signs on your lawn to greet your guests as they arrive. If you can, try to put a life-sized Elvis by your door to keep with the feast of things. If you are tight on budget, wind old reused Christmas lights on tree trunks and poles on your front yard to give it that extra Vegas Strip ambiance.

Line your walls with paper money or posters of slot machines. You can even get posters of popular gambling places from your local travel agent. They may even give them to you for free! Buy or scan a regular deck of cards and enlarge them several times and hang them around the room for that festive feel. Set up a Blackjack table, roulette table, and a poker table around the area. Cover your tables with green felt cloths designed for some card games.

Once inside, hand your guests funny money and poker chips and let them work the room to their hearts content. What would a casino be without your usual dinner and dance show? Set up a stage area on one side specifically for this purpose. Your guests might even want to join in the show. You might even opt to have a karaoke onstage. It would be perfect if you have a guests dressed as dead Elvis and wants to be part of the show. If you don’t have the space, then at least make sure there’s music to appease the crowd.

Serve deli or canapé, basically finger food, nothing heavy and easy to eat with one hand. Some suggestions are mini Swedish meatballs, cuts of cheese and ham, spicy chicken wings, and mini cupcake pies. Be sure to spread lots of gummy worms around the table, after all, while you are feasting on the buffet, the worms are feasting on you ghouls!

Try to serve mildly non-alcoholic drinks to make the party more festive throughout the night. Try brush to up on your bartending skills. Now is your chance to show off.

Don’t forget to hand out the party favors! Give them mementos of the fun they had. Miniature dice key chains or personalized poker chips are just some of the great choices.
